HOME INTRO CHAPTERS GALLERY PURCHASE LINKS

Takes the game of polo from its birth in ancient Persia more than two thousand years ago to the secluded valleys of northeastern India in the mid-nineteenth century where it was first seen by English tea and indigo planters. Within three decades, principally through the British military's passion for the game, polo had spread across the Empire and made its first appearance on Canada's Pacific Coast and in the foothills ranch country of the Prairie West.
