The Calgary Challenge Cup - Presented at the first Calgary tournament in September, 1892, the sterling silver trophy has been in continuous play ever since, making it probably the oldest such prize in North America. The engraved plate on the front of the trophy was copied from a photograph of the team which had won the first western Canadian tournament held three months earlier in Fort Macleod.
